How do I upgrade the graphics card and the speed of a Laptop Computer system … it's Toughbook?
Sorry, computer laptop graphics card can not be updated. The CPU can be upgraded as they are socketed, but access is difficult. If you want to increase your computer speed laptop (assuming a PC with Windows XP), this is the best you can do: 1. Backup all your data. 2. Format HD to FAT32, NTFS, no 3. Reinstall Windows XP 4. Download the video card driver latest manufacturer. 5. While you're at it, flash the latest BIOS I've done this many times for customers and there are at least 50% speed increase. I'm not kidding. The effect is even more dramatic in older systems. A Pentium XP laptop that had 2-266MHz/256MB 20 sec. To start MS Word now only takes 2 sec. after the mod. FAT32 is easier, faster file system – especially for Windows swap criticism " files. For more security, put your data on a second partition NTFS. Reloading XP will erase the record of trash. The program I use is Partition Magic. For more speedup tips, go to AdviceOnStuff.com BTW, adding memory does not help. "Windows XP sweet spot" is about 256 MB. In my experience, the addition of extra memory only gives a 10% improvement in speed.
