Why do my speakers crackle and pop to start a DVD in the Pro Logic II?
When you turn on my receiver and launch a DVD when the disc menu starts Pro Logic II in my speakers pop, crackling and sounds like it will explode. Once you start the movie and Dolby Digital sound changes all the stops and all is well. Does anyone know why this happens and how it might be able to correct it?
A.) It happens when the menu initially starts in Pro Logic II mode, but stops. As suggested by the question … A lot of A / V receivers do not have notch filters to avoid pop and crackle of the output relays either on, or change, as you mention, perhaps, when switching from 2 to 5 channel surround sound, or 5 to 2 channel sound, etc. ~ sigh ~ It is priced A / V receiver … you're not alone. — B.) It happens all the time, constantly, while watching a disc menu mode Pro Logic II … as potentially suggested by the text in the dialogue. If only occurs in one way, and not all the time when you change modes, then there is probably a problem with that. Is it through all channels, or isolate a set Speaker … example, the front left and right, one center only sub, etc. .. you will need the information anyway when you call the manufacturer, or return. Isolate the circumstances is going under. Is this when making adjustments to the system through different screens while on the menu? Or if only is continuous as shown when you say that "all stops" when you change modes, then something might still be considered defective. Anyway way, is very limited in their options for troubleshooting … and probably are best solved through back guarantee … —- Is it also do this after turning the computer off, then turn the system sound? If you hear a pop should be fake, not like your drivers are going to explode. If it is fake … no problem … This is also assuming you do not have the high volume levels, and what you're hearing is 10% distortion. Does the problem disappears levels lower production? Kinks in the wires, it is unlikely to affect the reproduction of sound at that level in only one way. A distortion loose, worn, broken or intermittent connection must always be the cause, unless moved. Roll them could cause phasing problems as it creates an inductor, or something the like, but must be present in all modes, not just one, if it is a matter of potential cable.
