Which is better? Pentium 4, Intel Centrino, Intel Core Duo processor or>?
I'm going to get a used laptop, wondering which is better: Pentium 4, Centrino, AMD or Intel Core Duo? 1/Is there is a need to get great giant such as Core Duo? 2 / pls advise on this notebook: Specifications: – Centrino Duo 1.5Ghz – 512MB DDR RAM – 40GB HDD – DVD Combo (DVD / CDRW) – 15 "XGA TFT – Wireless 801.11b / g qustions: Do I need to upgrade this notebook to 60gb? It is the aforementioned laptop powerful enough to do basic office tasks, watch movies and browse the phone? game is good too? 3 / How much do you think is worth the above laptop? pls U.S. state or sing dollars. 4/how is usually a life long batterly and how much? pls state with us or sing dollars. thanks for your help.
1) Since you mentioned movies and games, yes, you need Core 2 Duo. 2) I do not recommend that improving the basic laptop. It will cost too much and not worth it. Duties of the office (base) – Yes Movies – Heck no (will not be good enough) Gaming, definetely not. 3) The laptop should be worth U.S. $ 650-800. 4) Not sure about the battery life. I do not suggest this laptop to this purpose. You will need a new approach, preferably pre-installed 1gig RAM, 120 gigs of hard drive space, and 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. It will be much cheaper the upgrade. It will cost U.S. $ 1400, I think. However, in his Aus $ $ 1600 maximum. But wait for Windows Vista. And make sure Buisiness or Ultimate because its Home Premium and Basic are too sstriped below. Trust me. Buying a laptop but once in 4 years say it's better than having be updated or not functioning properly. Hope this helped.
