Linux for old old compy?
Yes, I said compy, lets ignore that. I have an old desktop Pentium 2, 128 RAM, video card, 4 megs (OTB garbage not actually halfway good, because 10 years ago, anyway …) flexible, CDRW, all things sweet for ten year old computer. I need a Linux distribution that can run on this old machine, I tried PCLinuxOS, and started, but had tons of problems with the desktop does not show and stuff. Distros are there specifically made for older computers or older versions of the distributions that have not expired. BTW, I'm using Windows 98 because my hand second team, no Windows CD, and virtually exploded in his face, I had to play to reformat the hard drive the point that not even most of it in DOS, all Award BIOS I have is that fortunately you can boot from the CD-ROM.

How to convert an internal DVD drive to the external device
Convert an internal DVD drive to an external device is a relatively simple task to anyone with a familiarity with basic hand tools.

7, connect the drive to your system and power if necessary.

9 Remove the CD driver manufacturer of your internal CD drive DVD / CD and test the external drive.
